About Gene Hayden

Gene C. Hayden dedicated her career to determining how people tackle the obstacles that stand in the way of their goals. She was motivated to find answers after growing up on the highways of Europe, ricocheting from city to city and country to country with her mother who was forever chasing dreams, but never figured out how to catch one.

To get up-close access to those who had achieved success in their field, Gene started her career as a journalist. A writer for publications in Europe and North America, she was also a staff writer on BC Business Magazine, a humour columnist with Modern Woman magazine and the people editor at Maclean’s.

After ten years in this field, she became a partner with Hayden Communications, Inc., a successful media and marketing company that turned products into household names and people into corporate stars.

Gene then became a certified professional coach and now works with individuals and teams in the private not-for-profit sectors in North America, Europe, and Australia.

She is also a popular corporate speaker on the Follow-Through Factor.
